Clinical Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
Provides Individual and Couples Therapy to Adults
Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I am a licensed mental health counselor and a nationally certified counselor. I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine, and my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology from Boston College. I mainly work with clients over the age of 18 who are interested in working through anxiety, depression, disordered eating, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity formation, and life transitions. I have prior experience working with individuals in partial hospitalization programs struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and psychosis, among others.
I emphasize a strengths-based, collaborative approach with my clients and draw from different evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, and ACT. I also utilize a psychodynamic approach to explore how past experiences are impacting current ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. I love to tailor my approach to what each of my clients are wanting and needing at the time.
I aim to provide my clients with a warm, trusting, culturally-sensitive environment in order to encourage them to grow and heal. I focus on using empathy and authenticity to create strong relationships with my clients. When working with me, you can expect to be heard, challenged, and (hopefully) filled with some laughter.
