Psychotherapist
I am a master’s-level clinical mental health counselor and therapist with a degree from the College of William & Mary, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in environmental studies. I primarily provide therapy for adults and have experience supporting individuals recovering from trauma. My background includes working as a therapist with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as providing therapy for anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, relationship concerns, identity exploration, grief, religious trauma, codependency, and existential questions. I am deeply committed to inclusivity and to examining how oppressive systems impact mental health and well-being.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental. In our therapy sessions, we explore how past experiences and relationships influence present-day beliefs, emotions, and patterns. I view thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and physical sensations as meaningful signals and adaptive responses to past experiences, rather than reflections of who you are. I believe everyone has an intrinsic capacity for healing, and my role as a therapist is to help you reconnect with that inner wisdom. I also incorporate somatic therapy techniques and mindfulness-based therapy practices to support healing from the bottom up.
What To Expect
As a mental health therapist, I have a genuine curiosity about each person’s story and a deep respect for the individuality of every healing journey. I strive to create a space that feels warm, accepting, and safe enough for you to show up as your authentic self. I value collaboration and balance gentle challenge with compassion, and I often bring humor into therapy sessions when it feels supportive and grounding.
