Psychotherapist
I am a mental health counselor with a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. I have experience working with diverse populations, specializing in supporting individuals, couples, people from diverse sociocultural backgrounds, and the LGBTQIA+ community in navigating anxiety, relationship issues, grief, and intergenerational trauma, to name a few.
My Approach
I take a holistic, client-centered perspective in my work. I firmly believe in acknowledging the inherent goodness within each person and understanding their behaviors in the context of their unique life experiences and systemic influences. I use a trauma-focused foundation in my, while emphasising how trauma impacts individuals and shapes their worldview. I incorporate grounding and somatic techniques to foster mindfulness and draw from Gestalt therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor the therapeutic space to each client’s unique needs
What To Expect
Having recently migrated to the US, I bring a deep appreciation for diverse cultural and social contexts, enhancing my ability to understand how personal backgrounds shape lives. In the therapeutic space, I see myself as a compassionate witness to your story. I believe you are the author of your own narrative, and my role is to support and empower you in reclaiming it. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
