Lauren Goetz, MHC-LP

she/her/hers
Psychotherapist

I earned my M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU and a B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from UC Santa Barbara. I’ve worked with neurodivergent students in public education, individuals managing substance use and severe mental health conditions in community settings, and adults in private practice. I currently work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity and relationship challenges, with a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.

My Approach

My primary goal as a therapist is to support your well-being through a collaborative and compassionate relationship. Together, we'll build a foundation of emotional insight to help you navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and confidence. I take an integrative approach, drawing from CBT, REBT, psychodynamic, and relational frameworks, and incorporate somatic and trauma-informed care. In our sessions, I offer an empathetic, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, feelings, and behaviors openly.

What To Expect

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I recognize how identity, culture, and lived experience shape our mental health. I'm committed to empowering clients from all backgrounds through a strengths-based lens. I bring my genuine self to our work, offering honest reflection, curiosity, and encouragement, and hopefully some shared laughter along the way. I look forward to connecting and supporting you toward greater resilience and well-being.
