Clinical Psychotherapist
I am a licensed social worker with an MSW from Hunter College, a JD from Columbia University, and a BBA from George Washington University. I work with individuals of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life and career transitions, work-related stress, PTSD/trauma/history of abuse, grief, shame, and questions around gender and sexuality. I also work with couples facing issues around communication, intimacy, infidelity, and significant life changes. Additionally, I facilitate an ongoing support group for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
My Approach
Putting words to experience within a collaborative therapeutic partnership can be immensely healing. My approach is psychodynamic and trauma-informed. I also incorporate behavioral, somatic, dreamwork, and other modalities as needed. I completed psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at the White Institute in NYC and also have training in Trauma-Focused CBT. I enjoy working with those who are curious about the ways in which they may not understand themselves and who view the change process as a journey.
What To Expect
I offer a warm, curious, and non-judgmental environment where we can safely explore anything you may be going through. Over time, we will attempt to uncover the ways in which your past and present are linked. Making these connections will help us understand how conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, and conflicts impact day-to-day life. Whether it’s your first time in therapy or you’ve been before, it takes courage to commit to the process.
