I understand that connecting with a therapist can be an overwhelming experience. It takes courage to open-up and allow someone into your world. So, let me introduce myself and help you feel more at ease. Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am a psychotherapist with a degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people including those of various age groups (from childhood to adulthood), and people from various backgrounds, cultures and communities (including the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ people). I have experience in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal issues, and more. Throughout my career, I have recognized that every person is unique, and therapy is not one-size-fits-all, which is why I incorporate a range of therapeutic approaches into my practice, including: Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, to meet client’s needs.

My approach when working with clients is non-judgmental, empathetic, and compassionate. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself and explore your feelings. I listen intuitively and work collaboratively with individuals to support their personal growth and goals.

My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges, share in your success and joy, and empower you to reach your full potential. Beyond all therapeutic talk and big words, I’m just a person with a desire to help. So let’s explore the possibility of working together and embarking on a journey of healing, growth and inner peace.
