Clinical Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
Hey! My name is Nicole Reynoso and I am an Afro-Latina Mental Health Therapist with a limited permit, born and raised in The Bronx. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I obtained my Master’s in Education in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College.

I have the privilege of providing individual counseling to children, adolescents and adults within POC and LGBTQ+ communities in NYC. I have provided services to people that struggle with their sense of identity, finding stability through transitions, PTSD, managing interpersonal issues, grief, anxiety, depression, and more. Lead with empathy and compassion, I utilize a trauma and culturally informed eclectic approach that often taps into CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, play therapy, somatic healing, psychodynamic and other modalities as needed. Additionally, I have led groups for children and adolescents in mental health clinics in The Bronx, NY and Brooklyn, NY focused on emotional literacy, healthy relationship skills building, behavioral modification, and social skills development.

I believe that therapy is an experience that requires a lot of bravery, self-reflection, connection and action. Oftentimes, this experience can be very challenging as it requires us to confront parts of ourselves, our community and our world, all of which can be very challenging to do alone. Working with me means receiving empathy, validation and having a safe judgment free space to be and/or learn about yourself as you continue to explore and grow on your path to wellness.
