Mother’s Day 2017

May 14, 2017

The Team at BHAVA Therapy Groupwould like to take a moment to honor all that it means to be mother, especially since we understand that Mother’s Day can bring up a host of different feelings for different people depending upon their circumstances.

As much as we understand and celebrate with you the love, joy, excitement, silly times and fulfillment that comes from mothering our children we are also fully aware of and believe it important to note the challenges, the madness, the self-doubt, heartbreaks and pains and the exhaustion (the exhaustion!)  that can also mark our journey as mothers.

We also wish to acknowledge that the path towards becoming a mother is not always a clear and easy one, nor is it always one intentionally chosen. As the role of mother is not only defined by giving birth, but by giving life to our children through loving them and providing for their care, needs, support, nurturing and guidance.

On this Mother’s Day – and every day really, as we know that mothering is 24/7 and then some – we wish to extend our hearts and gratitude to all who mother in their unique, personal ways. We hope that you can contemplate on this day all that you have done for the ones you love and know that your meaningful work with your children is what keeps the heart of our world beating. Thank you.
