What this workshop is about

Do you feel like no matter what you say, your teen shuts down, pushes back, or pulls away?

Are you walking on eggshells — or constantly ending up in the same arguments?

Do you miss feeling connected to your child and wonder where that connection went?

Do you feel regretful for things you have said that you wish you could take back?

You’re not alone.

Many parents find themselves feeling exhausted, frustrated, and unsure of how to reach their teen during this stage of life. What you’re experiencing is often part of this phase of development — but without the right tools, it can feel overwhelming and isolating.

Who is the workshop for

For parents and caregivers of children age 12-18 and above.

If you feel like your teen is wearing you down, then join this 1.5 hour workshop.

Understand your teen’s biopsychosocial development and learn how to communicate with your teen in ways that reduce conflict, rebuild connection, and actually work in real life

What you'll learn with this workshop

This is a practical, experiential workshop designed to help parents navigate communication challenges with their teens in a grounded and effective way.

Rather than focusing on surface-level tips, we will explore what’s happening beneath behaviors, and how to work with it in real time.

  • Understand your teen’s biopsychosocial development, and why they react the way they do
  • Gain awareness of your own emotional responses and communication patterns
  • Learn how to regulate yourself in moments of conflict
  • Learn how to communicate your needs clearly without escalating tension
  • Learn how to respond when your teen shuts down, reacts, or withdraws
  • Learn how to navigate high-conflict situations more effectively
  • Begin to rebuild connection through small, consistent shifts

You’ll leave with practical tools you can use immediately:

  • What to say when your teen shuts down
  • How to de-escalate conflict in the moment
  • How to reconnect after disconnection
  • How to communicate without triggering defensiveness

These are tools you can begin using the same day.
