Workshop Description
Does life in the city ever feel like it moves faster than your nervous system can keep up with? Between responsibilities, transitions, and constant stimulation, many of us live in a near-continuous state of doing—rarely pausing long enough to breathe, notice, or simply be.
From Soil to Soul is a 2-hour, in-person, nature-based workshop designed for adults who are feeling burnt out, anxious, or stretched thin—and who are craving a moment of calm, connection, and restoration. This workshop offers a gentle invitation to slow down and reconnect through intentional, hands-on engagement with nature.
Together, we’ll explore how therapeutic gardening and mindful creative practices can support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and cultivate self-compassion. Through potting and caring for a plant, simple creative expression, guided journaling, and group reflection, you’ll experience how tending to something living can mirror—and support—the care you offer yourself.
Using accessible metaphors from nature, we’ll reflect on:
- Roots — grounding, values, and inner stability
- Soil — environment, nourishment, and support systems
- Pruning — letting go of what no longer serves us
- Growth cycles — patience, resilience, and realistic expectations
This workshop is especially supportive for those navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or burnout, or simply longing for a meaningful pause from the pace of everyday life. No gardening or artistic experience is needed—just curiosity, presence, and a willingness to get your hands in the soil.
You’ll leave with a planted reminder of this experience, along with practical insights into how slowing down, caring gently, and honoring natural rhythms can support your emotional well-being—both inside and outside the city.
Come as you are. Leave more rooted, restored, and connected—from soil to soul.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE A LIVE, IN-PERSON WORKSHOP MEETING AT OUR WHITE PLANS OFFICE LOCATION.
