Alex Belitzky, LMSW

she/her/hers
Psychotherapist

I have a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology from Dalhousie University. I have worked in both private practice and community-based settings, supporting individuals from all walks of life. I currently work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, disordered eating, life transitions, relationship difficulties and identity formation. I have a particular interest in perinatal mental health and in supporting individuals and couples as they navigate pregnancy, parenthood, and the significant changes these experiences bring.

My Approach

I draw from different evidence based modalities such as CBT and DBT in combination with relational psychodynamic methods. We will use these methods to explore how your past experiences and relationships influence the way you think, feel, and connect with others, while finding solutions that fit your needs.

What To Expect

My goal as a therapist is to provide a warm, honest, non-judgemental, and trusting environment in which you feel safe to show up as your true and authentic self. I bring a relaxed, bubbly, and easy-going presence to the room, creating a space where you can feel comfortable and supported. At the same time, I’m committed to holding space for challenge and accountability to support meaningful growth in a way that feels right for you.
