Hi! I’m Amanda Sacks and I completed my Bachelor’s in Social Work from New York University and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My previous experience includes working with children and families as a school social worker and working at adolescent inpatient psychiatric and partial hospitalization programs. In addition to my 500 hour yoga certification, I am currently training in the Katonah Yoga® method.
I am inspired by and trained in various healing modalities and intuitively combine ancient practices with modern therapeutic approaches. Whether working with individuals in therapy, leading support groups, workshops, or trainings, I integrate yogic philosophy and the body-mind connection into my practice. I believe in the power of community and am passionate about expanding Bhava’s Support Group programs.
I am an advocate for mental health (brain health), self-care, and finding a life-work balance. Rain or shine, I love to get outdoors and connect with nature. I also love to hike, spend time with friends and family, and swim for fun!
